Cosplay Competition Info

SoUAnime’s cosplay competition will be craftsmanship only, with individual and group registrations accepted. Registration will open closer to the time of the convention, so keep an eye on our Instagram to know when registrations open! It’s highly recommended competitors pre-register as a limited number of walk-on entries will be accepted at the convention based on availability.

Rules

• Entries can be from any source material - from east to west to the world-wide-web! This contest is not restricted to anime or Japanese-only media.
• Contestants that are 12 years old or under must be accompanied by an adult.
• Maintain a PG rating: no profanity, no gore, no overly sexual content, no nudity.
• If you bring it on the stage, you must be able to take it off with you when you are done.
• No pyrotechnics, no live steel or real weapons, and no combat demonstrations.

Division Guidelines

SoUAnime will have beginner, intermediate and masters divisions. The criteria for each division is currently in the works - check back when registration opens to know what you qualify as.
